Acer palmatum 'Shu shidare'Another fabulous discovery and introduction by Talon Buchholz of Buchholz & Buchholz Nursery in Oregon, this one starts out with finely dissected orange leaves coming out in spring. Then by summer the leaves turns orange and green, followed by brilliant orange red leaves in the fall. The name means "orange weeping", and the tree has a strong mounding form, only growing to 3 ft tall x 6 ft wide in 10 years. Hardy to zone 5.
