Tinderbox Early Lighting NeatVery interesting piece of early lighting called a tinderbox through it dates to around 1870. Apparently, the earlier versions were fashioned from sheet iron not tin and date to the later part of the 18th to early 19th century. This example shows stamped concentric circles on the bottom as well as on the damper along with a series of numbers and letters that would be easier to execute using tin.
